Our unique beachfront venue is perfectly located amongst lush mountainous forests, overlooking the Coral Sea.
Ellis Beach offers access to rainforest settings complete with waterfalls (right next to our venue!), beautiful huge fig trees complete with weeping branches, and of course our stunning beach itself. These settings are all within a 5-minute stroll of each other, making Ellis the ideal place to get married or celebrate milestones with ample photo opportunities.
We are fortunate to have very few neighbours, meaning it isn’t hard to find a nice, secluded patch of sand away from the crowds during the day. And then when night falls, we can party well into the evening without any concerns for noise restrictions.
At Ellis Beach Bar & Grill, we can promise you a wonderful event, but we can’t control the weather!
Beach weddings are wonderful & we are lucky to be located in North Queensland, where we are spoilt with sunshine, however, should it be raining when you’re getting ready for your very special day, don’t panic! We’ve got you covered, with a weatherproof back up option for ceremonies to take place at no extra cost.

At Ellis Beach Bar & Grill, we’re all about providing good times, delicious food and exceptional service for unbeatable prices. We pride ourselves on delivering affordable packages without compromising on style or quality.
Tropical elegance for any occasion!
Every event is different & every celebration is unique, therefore we are open to working with you to put together a tailor-made package to suit your individual requests and budgets. Enclosed in this brochure you will find suggestions on menus & beverage packages. You are also welcome to decorate the area however you like, use our in-house styling including balloon arches, floral arrangement & extensive array of linens & finery, at very reasonable charges, bring a band or a DJ, or use our complimentary in-house blue tooth speakers.
We cater for large and small groups and provide either cocktail style events or seated dinners. If you have any specific needs that are not listed in our package’s, just let us know and we will work with you to make it happen.
Venue Options
Oasis Room
We have the Exclusive Use Air-Conditioned “Oasis Room”, with private bar, bifold glass doors that open onto a terraced cocktail balcony overlooking the ocean, available for events & conferencing.
$500.00 ½ day / night (6 hours)
$1000.00 Full day use with evening event.
Beer Garden Terrace
We have non-exclusive private areas in our beer garden terrace, with no venue hire fee.
Exclusive use options for this area, commencing at $20 000 minimum spend. Can cater to 300 + seated/600 + cocktail style, again with private bar. A stage & sound system to host anything for DJ or Soloist to a large band.
Ellis Rocks! Don’t Fight for your right to Party!!
Planning a big night? We aren’t going to stop you!
Ellis Beach Bar and Grill has no noise restrictions. We are licensed until midnight. Available upon request. If you just want to extend your party for a couple of hours till Midnight from our 10pm shut, for a non-exclusive event, you can do so for $200.00 per hour (inclusive of Courtesy Bus use on operational nights) ; however, we are also happy to apply for a 2am license for you (processing fee applies).
Tailor your event
Celebrating a special birthday or event?
Our non-exclusive Beer Garden option has no venue fee attached. You have a private section in our Ocean View Beer Garden, but still be part of the action, we can arrange your event around our free live music events & all you need to do is Party !
Reception & After Party Option
Enjoy your reception in our Airconditioned “Oasis Room”, then move upstairs to our beer garden with stage/dance floor/private bar & rock out exclusively in this area from 9.30pm- Midnight for an additional $2000.00
Audio Guest Book
Enjoy poignant & hilarious message memories with our in-house Audio Guest Book service. $180.00
Package includes – Retro Phone that recites a voice message from you inviting your guests to leave a message, processing fees, USB download for you to keep, to replay your messages whenever you like.

Linen & Styling are additional costs & are quoted according to requirements.
